Evenflo adds technology to proven car seat to aid in the prevention of vehicular heatstroke
Evenflo is excited to announce the latest innovation in car seat safety, the Evenflo SensorSafe™ Technology. The Evenflo SensorSafe™ Technology was developed to aid in the prevention of vehicular heatstroke. According to KidsAndCars.org, a nonprofit child safety organization, the average number of U.S. child vehicular heat stroke deaths is 37 per year.
Evenflo is the only car seat manufacturer to implement this technology. Like all Evenflo car seats, the SensorSafe-equipped Embrace DLX meets all applicable Federal Safety Standards, including FMVSS 213, and Evenflo’s Side Impact Test Standard. In addition, this seat has been designed and tested for structural integrity at energy levels approximately 2X the federal crash test standard.
How does Evenflo SensorSafe™ Technology work?
Upon arrival at the destination, the Evenflo SensorSafe™ Technology will alert the driver a baby is present in the vehicle. In addition, the receiver will notify the driver if the chest clip becomes unbuckled during transit. This technology is available on the Evenflo ADVANCED SensorSafe™ Embrace DLX Infant Car Seat and the Evenflo Epic™ Travel System.
“The worst thing any parent or caregiver can do is think that they could never unknowingly leave a child behind in a vehicle,” says Gregory E. Mansker, CEO of Evenflo, as well as Chairman and CEO Goodbaby Americas. “This can and does happen to the most loving, responsible and attentive parents,” he added.
Walmart and Evenflo have partnered to launch the new Evenflo ADVANCED SensorSafe™ Embrace™ DLX Infant Car Seat and Evenflo Epic™ Travel System. Products are currently available on walmart.com, and will be launching in store, mid-August.
