The Award Winning gb Pockit Stroller Scoops Prestigious Design Award
The gb Pockit stroller continues its award winning momentum scooping the prestigious iF Design Gold Award 2016.
The gb Pockit was the only winner in the infant child products category and was called out for its superior “magic” folding size.
A homage to the power and value of good design, the iF Product Design Award was introduced in 1954 and is annually conferred by the iF International Forum Design. Every year iF attracts more than 5,000 product entries from around 50 countries, which are judged by renowned experts, with the best of them receiving an iF seal of outstanding design quality. The best of the best are awarded with an iF Gold Award, known as the “Design Oscar”.
The iF Gold Award committee said: “The jury had never seen a stroller that folded into such a compact package and yet was so quick and easy to deploy. Designing pushchairs is difficult, as there are so many compromises to be resolved, but the Pockit succeeds in focusing on the smallest possible folded size, and it does so with minimal compromise elsewhere. It is indeed an innovative product designed for daily use.
The most difficult part in designing infant child products is to strike a balance between various functional performance and appearance, the POCKIT is also excellent in the aspects of safety and conform besides the compact folding, easy operation, easiness to carry and other characteristics that could not be compared by others. With its small size of POCKIT, the seat space is big enough and the stroller itself is strong enough by its adoption of four-bar mechanical support system and crabbing side protection device”.
The iF Design Gold Award 2016, is the latest addition to the awards already won by the gb Pockit stroller.
2014, the Guinness Book of World officially named POCKIT as the “smallest commercially available pram”.
